The time Fred went to the car wash and never came back,

I lost my shoes in a mall fountain.

The water turned yellow like my cheap canvas sneakers.

Yes, I lost my kicks, but I gained a few pennies.

Last one on Earth

Two aliens land on Earth.

Shocked, they find mounds of dirt

separated evenly from each other, and a lone man, dead, above ground.

One alien walks over to the man, and says…

“Well, someone has to bury this serial killer.”

She was standing behind the counter, giving him this root beer-float kind of smile.

I wondered why she didn’t look at me like that.

We both were wearing masks.
