How I Got A Million Views on TikTok

The random process of going viral

Let me preface this by saying this isn’t an instructional manual on how you can get a million views, but rather my first hand experience in the process, and what comes after that fact. I’ve always wanted to be an influencer, but I only learned later in my career, that it was for the wrong reasons. It wasn’t until I realized who, what, when, where, and why I was posting, was when I was able to figure out the “how”.

Pre-Million

I have been posting on and off on various social media account since 2019. I started off with the with a Movie orientated page called “Wait Foreel??” I am a strong cinephile so it only made sense for me to jump into the social media game with something I know. I would set up weekly podcast, post news, and movie related information, but all this lead to was my friends becoming my fans. The reach wasn’t there, the engagement was lacking, and personally I felt like I sucked.

When you go on Tiktok and Instagram, and you see reels go for Millions of views, and the content is quite shabby in your opinion, this can challenge your ego, atleast it did for me. Like going to an art exhibit and seeing a sub par painting, you say to yourself, “I can do that” WRONG there is a reason the painting is strung up, there is a reason Mr. Beast has 100 plus million subscribers.

I learned this through constant trial and error. I was the one who would go to Youtube and type in, how do I get 1000 followers…
